Try Tag Rugby competitions will be conducted under Oztag rules.

Do I need any rugby experience to play Tag Rugby?
No. Tag Rugby is an easy game to learn, and many players taking part in competitions will be inexperienced. No Rugby League, Rugby Union or Touch Rugby experience is needed to play Tag Rugby.

Do I need to be super fit to play Tag Rugby?
No. Tag Rugby can be played by players of varying levels of fitness. Playing Tag Rugby is a great way to improve your fitness and stay healthy.

I don't have a whole team, can I still enter?
Yes you can enter as an individual and we will place you in a team. If you would like to enter as a group of friends but don't have enough for a whole team, just enter as individuals but specify on the form or by email who your friends are that have also signed up.

What divisions and standards of competition will be held?
Try Tag Rugby will be running competitions of varying standards. For 2010 in London, mixed, men's and a ladies Tag Rugby competitions will be held. At certain venues, both A grade and social Tag Rugby divisions will take place. Try Tag Rugby will be looking at introducing Masters (over 35’s) competitions in the future.

What equipment is required to play Tag Rugby?
Tag Rugby shorts are compulsory to take part. Try Tag Rugby are a retailer of Tag Rugby shorts. Shorts can be purchased at our venues or online through our shop. This shop will also soon be stocking Rugby boots. Rugby or Football boots are recommended for competitions on grass due to the extra grip they provide. For comps on Astroturf, trainers or boots with blades are recommended.

Will there be a Tag Rugby competition in my local area soon?
Try Tag Rugby are looking to start week to week competitions throughout the UK. If you believe tag rugby would be a success in your area or have a facility suitable for tag rugby competitions, feel free to email info@trytagrugby.com with your details and suggestions. We are particularly on the lookout for floodlit venues where Tag Rugby can be held year round.

Can I work for Try Tag Rugby?
Yes! Try Tag Rugby is looking for paid referees and competition supervisors. We understand that refereeing isn’t easy, so if you sign up to referee, you will be well trained and well rewarded for your time. Email info@trytagrugby.com for further information.
