Largest ever Try Tag Rugby tournament takes place

by | Jun 11, 2019 | Events, London, National, News | 0 comments

The largest ever Tag Rugby tournament hosted by Try Tag Rugby took place on Saturday, with 90 teams taking to 18 pitches in Barn Elms, south-west London.

The record, previously held at 66 teams at London Champs in 2018, was surpassed resulting in over 1000 players taking part in the one-day event.

Turtles followed up their past two London Champs tournaments wins (2017 & 2018) with a victory in the Tier 1 Cup, taking home the top prize of £400. The final went down to golden point after Turtles and Alpacas were tied at five-all after normal time, cheered on by a large crowd.
