Great Britain Tag Rugby has today announced the coaches who will coach squads through to the 2021 World Cup.

After huge success at the Tag Rugby World Cup in Australia last year, winning bronze and silver medals, focus now turns to the World Cup in Ireland 2021.

A total of 12 coaches and assistant coaches have been named following a rigorous application process. These roles include returning coaches, new coaches and some players making to move from playing to coaching Great Britain for the first time.

In addition, two new roles have been created. These roles, heading up the Men’s and Women’s game are introduced to drive the 2021 vision and ensure talent is identified from all areas of Great Britain.

As Head of Women’s and Men’s Tag Rugby respectively, Murray Wilson and James Baron will be sharing their experience and commitment to the game with players and coaches alike. This will ensure by 2021 Great Britain has the most competitive, World Cup squads available having hopefully already won the British & Irish Cup in 2019 & 2020.

Great Britain Tag Rugby is focused on building breadth and depth in the Great Britain camp, adding two new divisions to the World Cup 2021 vision supports the demand for more international representation opportunities at the highest level across the Tag Rugby community.
