Play for Yorkshire at the 2018 London Tag Championships

by | May 24, 2018 | News, Yorkshire

Join us for Try Tag Rugby Yorkshire’s big day out to the capital and play for one of our Yorkshire teams as we join the party at Try Tag Rugby’s marquee one day featival, the London Tag Rugby Championships!

Now in its 9th year, 75 teams are expected to take part from across London, the rest of the UK and around the world (previous entrants have included teams from Tonga, France and Ireland).

This year promises to be the biggest and best yet!  As well as all the action on the field their will be a real festival atmosphere with prizes for the best fancy dress plus lots going on off the pitch including a Bucking Bronco, Galdiator Joust, Beer Pong, Marquee with DJ until 1pm. The London Tag Rugby Championships is one of the highlights of the Tag Rugby Calendar,  if you haven’t played at the London Championships before, you are seriously missing out, and if you have, then we’ve turned up the volume on this years event – you won’t recognise it!

Try Tag Rugby Yorkshire took three teams down to the event last year and this year would like to take more people down to the event. As I am sure those who have travelled down to the event would agree its a great day and weekend if you choose to stay down there. Come and help us fly the flag for Yorkshire both on the Tag pitch and on the dance floor by registering to play. If the team you play for regularly wants to go on tour then thats great, but if not then you can join one of the Yorkshire teams by signing up as and individual and we will put you on one of the teams.

For those individuals interested in going down we will be having a get together and some practice games on Saturday 9th June, 2pm – 3:30pm in Kirkstall. If you can’t make it to this don’t worry you can still join one of the teams.
