Featuring 30+ mixed Tag Rugby teams from across the UK & Europe, and an After Party to remember, TagFest Edinburgh is quickly becoming a Must Visit TagFest in the U.K. After a cracking tournament in the sunshine in 2023 & 2024, we’re hoping the sun will shine once again on the Scottish Capital.

TagFest Edinburgh 2025 will return to Inch Park in South Edinburgh, just 25 minutes from the city centre by public transport. With onsite changing facilities, onsite bar and a nearby supermarket available.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • 90 minutes of game time
  • Divisions for all standards of teams. Pool stages followed by a Cup, Plate, Bowl or Shield competition for their division.
  • Competitive Cup Division with the best 8 teams of the day playing for the coveted Edinburgh Cup! Standalone final on the main pitch in front of a big crowd.

TAG RUGBY FORMAT

  • Maximum of 12 players per squad, maximum 4 male players on the pitch at any one time
  • Try Tag Rugby’s standard rules apply for all divisions.
  • All players must be registered for insurance purposes
  • Teams will be seeded based on submitted squads. Squads must be complete by midday on 15th August.
  • Seeding is done at the discretion of Try Tag Rugby, incomplete squads may result in higher seeding than expected
  • Consumption of alcohol is prohibited until the tournament has concluded
  • All squads can have a maximum of four internationally capped players

PRESENTATION & AFTER PARTY

On completion of the finals, the presentation will take place at Inch Park Sports Club before the after party kicks-off for all players with live music, followed by a DJ and dance area until late at The Caves in the city centre.

VENUE

Inch Park will host TagFest Edinburgh 2025 in a return to the same venue of 2024. Car Parking is available but limited and players are encouraged to car share or use public transport where possible.

Buses 3 and 29 will run from Princes Street to Gilmerton Rd.every 12 minutes.

Full female and male changing facilities are available on site for use before, during and after the tournament – particularly important for getting yourself changed into your after party outfit once the games are finished.

ON THE DAY

All teams and players will be required to arrive at the venue in order to register at least one hour before kick off with the games scheduled to take place between 11am and 5pm. Exact registration opening times will be confirmed in the welcome email. The winners presentation will follow the Cup Division Grand Final.

FOOD & DRINK

Food vendors will be on-site throughout the day’s play and into the evening providing a variety of culinary options for teams and spectators while the clubhouse will serve food and drinks also. All alcohol must be purchased on site.

PLAYING KIT

ITF approved Tag Rugby shorts or tights are compulsory, available via card at our shop on the day. A limited number of shorts will also be available to hire on the day for £5.

STANDARD

Teams will be seeded before the tournament and pool stages in the morning session will sort teams into 4 divisions for the afternoon session.

REGISTRATION

Team registration is available at the cost of £260 for squads of 12.

Individuals can register for £26. If registering as an individual we’ll add you to a team or create a team of other individuals.

The registration deadline for the event is 12 midday on Friday 15th August unless the event sells out earlier.

AFTER PARTY & NON PLAYER TICKETS

After Party tickets can be purchased in advance for £48. This will gain entry for 12 players to The Caves from 9pm with live music and DJ. Armbands for entry MUST be collected at the TTR tent on the day of TagFest and will not be distributed at The Caves.
