Try Tag Rugby is one of the leading adult social sports organisations providing high-quality Tag Rugby Leagues and events across the UK in regions including: London, Brighton & Hove, Bristol, Coventry, Edinburgh, Manchester, Sheffield, Thames Valley, Warwickshire, West Yorkshire, and Wigan.
Tag Rugby is a fun and exciting minimal contact social sport suitable for all adults, no previous rugby experience is necessary and it’s a sport that can be enjoyed by beginners and experienced players alike.
Playing Tag Rugby is a great way to meet new people, as well as a chance to meet up with existing friends. There will be weekly post-match socials, where players come together to enjoy a drink with their teammates and opposition.
The Newcastle licence will be run by Jack Oddie and Natasha Botto, whilst the York licence will be run by Ari Alexopoulos.
Try Tag Rugby National Licensing Director, Carl Duckels said: “ We can’t wait to see Try Tag Rugby starting in two fantastic new locations this April. Both locations have a reputation for being vibrant, fun and friendly places to live. This makes them a perfect fit for Try Tag Rugby. Last summer we had over 10,000 people taking to the pitch weekly across the UK and we are confident that York and Newcastle will be able to build on that success. As well as being a convenient way to stay fit and healthy on a regular basis, it’s also a great way to have fun and meet people. All skill and experience levels are welcome, with nearly 50% of our players having never touched a rugby ball before.“
