The TagFest series is an annual series of tournaments held in various Try Tag Rugby regions throughout the UK, usually between June and early September each year. The aim of TagFest is to bring a festival atmosphere together with a full Tag Rugby tournament along with one of our legendary after-parties.
TagFest is the flagship event in each region. TagFest Tournaments are open to teams of all standards and many run with multiple divisions, and all finish with a cup, plate, shield, and bowl, so teams finish the day playing against teams of a the same level.
Most teams are local, but each event usually features a number of touring teams.
Each event is unique with off-field entertainment varying, but different events have bands, DJ’s, food stalls, cocktail bars, and even official night club partners. Other tournaments have local unique local elements such as pie eating in Wigan and a Yorkshire pudding and spoon race in Yorkshire.
The first TagFest tournament was held in London in 2019, prior to 2019 this event had been running as the London Tag Rugby Championships.
TagFest London 2022 was the largest single-venue Tag Rugby tournament ever held in the northern hemisphere with 108 teams taking part.
