Kyle Nish joins Try Tag Rugby as new co-owner and joint Managing Director

Try Tag Rugby are excited to announce today that Kyle Nish has been appointed Try Tag Rugby’s new co-owner and Managing Director, effective immediately.

Born in Scotland, Kyle has always been involved in rugby and began playing Tag Rugby in 2013. As a result, he brings with him an enthusiasm, understanding and passion for the community that he will now be representing.

Kyle joined the Try Tag Rugby London office at the start of the New Year and had this to say on his appointment:

“I am extremely excited to take up the challenge of working at Try Tag Rugby,” said Nish.

“Tag Rugby became a serious passion of mine as soon as I started playing the game. When the opportunity came up to pursue a passion of mine as a career, it was one that was too good to miss.”

“I think Try Tag Rugby has a unique offering in the way it brings people and communities together from all walks of life. And putting the rugby to one side, the friendships I have made over the past seven years with my teammates and the Try Tag Rugby community have been the most enjoyable aspect of getting involved.”

“I believe the future of Try Tag Rugby is very exciting and there is lots to look forward to. I am massively motivated and determined to see its expansion not just across the UK but also internationally. I am also really looking forward to the Tag World Cup in 2021 – we are looking in great shape to build and better the tremendous success of the previous campaign.”

As he settles into his new role, Kyle will be undertaking a holistic review of Try Tag Rugby to identify opportunities for improvement as well as driving areas for growth, expansion and development of the game.

Prior to joining Try Tag Rugby, Kyle had a successful career working for seven years at Citibank across their London and Dubai offices focusing on the Trade Finance space and looking after the trade requirements of clients across Europe, Middle east and Africa.

As Try Tag Rugby looks forward to an action-packed year, Kyle also had to say:

“I can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store for us and I look forward to working with everyone at Try Tag Rugby and our players in the community to continue the successful journey. The growth of the game has been extremely encouraging and I am excited for the challenges that lie ahead.”

“Finally, I would also like to thank outgoing founder Phill Browne for all the great work in establishing tag’s presence in the UK and for his contributions over the years to building the Try Tag Rugby community.”

Kyle has been an active member of our community, playing in a number of leagues and representing East London in the Nationals Tournament and running out for Great Britain in the British & Irish cup.

Outside of Tag Rugby, Kyle is a keen traveller, visiting nearly 40 countries across Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Asia and Australasia.
