Try Tag Rugby SUMMER Registration Now Open
Registration is now open for our Summer Season beginning on the 5th July. Our Summer Season will be returning to our regular venue, on the 3G/grass pitches, at St Peters Catholic High School.
Registration is open to whole teams, part-teams (groups) and players looking to join a team. For any leagues which don’t sell-out in advance, registration generally closes four working days prior to the league commencing.
Ringers & Dual Registration
As we’re now comfortable with our procedures around COVID-19 sanitisation & how they are working, we have reverted to our normal rules for ringers & dual registrations. Dual registration is allowed at venues where two different categories run on the same evening, ie a mixed and a women’s league.
However please be aware that dual registration in two teams for the same league on the same night (i.e. two mixed teams on the same night) is not permitted unless approved by us. Any players who wish to be approved to dual register in a league should contact us.
The maximum squad size over the course of the season remains at 20, however due to COVID-19 procedures matchday squads will be limited to 12 players in order to make measures introduced manageable.
New players and teams of all skills and fitness levels (from beginners to experienced players) are very welcome. If you are a beginner most leagues will have beginner – intermediate divisions which are perfect for learning the game in your first season. If you want to try before committing we are running a couple of Free Taster Sessions. If you can’t attend a Free Taster Session, don’t worry you can still join a league. All new players will be given a rules briefing on arrival at the venue.
Tag Rugby Shorts
International Tag Federation (ITF) shorts or tights must be purchased before taking to the pitch in all Try Tag Rugby leagues. Tag shorts can be bought from Try Tag Rugby staff at our leagues using card only. There are also hire shorts available for £4 per session (free on taster sessions). For full details on the permitted shorts/tights please see the What Equipment Do I Need section in our FAQs.
