Try Tag Rugby Yorkshire Autumn Registration Now Open
Our Autumn Leagues are now open with leagues returning to our all weather pitches. This year we are running four venues in Leeds; Yarnbury (Mon), North Leeds (GSAL Tues), Weetwood (Weds) and Leeds City (Thurs).
With England Hockey annoyingly taking over our Wakefield booking, the Wakefield league is moving to Oulton for the autumn, back where we began many years ago. We are hopeful of returning to Wakefield down the track, but it will be great to be back at Oulton in the short term.
Over in Bradford & Bingley we are still searching for an available floodlit venue in South Bradford, but the Bradford & Bingley league in partnership with the Bradford Bulls Foundation (Tues) is going ahead as normal. Bradford South teams should look to sign-up to this league and we’ll update you if and when we can secure an option in South Bradford.
With record team numbers this summer and slightly reduced capacity in autumn we’d recommend signing up your team as soon as possible to avoid missing out. There is a priority window for existing teams of 11am, Tuesday 31/08. We expect some venues will sell-out by this date.
For those without a team, space exists for individuals to join and be placed in a team.
Registration is open to whole teams, part-teams (groups) and players looking to join a team. For any leagues which don’t sell-out in advance, registration generally closes four working days prior to the league commencing.
Ringers & Dual Registration
As we’re now comfortable with our procedures around COVID-19 sanitisation & how they are working, we have decided to revert to normal rules for ringers & dual registrations. Dual registration is now allowed again.
However please be aware that dual registration in two teams for the same league on the same night (i.e. two mixed teams on the same night) is only allowed if approved by us. Any players who wish to be approved to dual register in a league should contact us.
New players are extremely welcome to sign-up for a league and be placed in a team. If you are a beginner many leagues will have beginner or beginner – intermediate divisions which are perfect for learning the game in your first season.
If you want to try before committing, Free Taster Sessions are held throughout West Yorkshire in the lead up to each season.
